...Help From My Friends.

Joe Cocker once sang, “How do I feel by the end of the day?, [are you sad because you're on your own?] No, I get by with a little help from my friends” and it couldn’t have been put more perfect. I’ve realized that about half of my friends have graduated or are just about to graduate college. Now, let’s be serious, as most of you know this is not the case for me. But, hey, it’s totally fine with me because as long as I can travel and not be pulling my hair out over 28 page final papers then I’ll be sure to milk my college career for as long possible!
As 2009 Winter Break dwindles down to it’s last week and we prepare for a New Year, I’m still amazed at the friendships that have stayed strong since high school graduation. Most people would be like, “okay yeah easy, graduation was only 4 years ago”, well a lot, A LOT can happen in 4 years. Marriage, babies, death, new faces, lost faces, change of location, change of major. I’ve discovered some of my best friends this past year, yet in doing so not losing touch with friends since the day I met them years ago. I can honestly say I feel really lucky to have someone to call on for every different situation possible… even when it’s to find out where the hell I parked my car last night.

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!

How do you feel about everyone’s status, messages, comments, cards, etcetera, beginning with “I hope everyone had a great Christmas!”? I’m just not a big fan of that phrase. I mean, everyone hopes everyone had a great Christmas..but do they really? Or is it just one of those ‘things’ everyone says? Why not hope that everyone had a great Hanukkah? Hm? Like, who really lays in bed and thinks to themselves, “hmmm…I wonder if everyone had a super great holiday? I hope everyone’s was great!”. No one does that. Normally they’re all thinking, “ AHHH I CAN’T WAIT TO TELL EVERYONE WHAT I GOT!!”…right? Hahah, well as cliché as it is..I’ll go ahead and tag along, so I do hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or nothing day (if you don’t celebrate anything). Also, Of the gifts I was so lovingly given, these 2 were my absolute favorite:
This is Harry. My squishy, soft, never backtalking,
loving boyfriend pillow! Given to me by my wonderful Aunt Ellen.

SNUGGIES!! I'm wearing my fabulous new gift as I write.
I get great use out of this and I just LOVE it. Best thing
about it? It's Orange && Blue! Given to Katie and I by Auntie Babs.
Adriana got her's from her family.

Being that I live in the lovely state of Florida, we had gorgeous weather on Christmas eve. 75 degrees, no clouds, blue skies, perfection. Katie and I were able to make it to the beach for a few hours of fun in the sun before entering the madness of last minute shopping, food, and families.

I don’t care if 75 degrees doesn’t “feel like Christmas”, I’ll take going to the beach in December any day over shoveling snow in December. Ew!

And She's Off!

Hello Fabulousities! I’m actually really excited to start this whole blog thing because I feel like I have so many stories to share with everyone and never enough time to get them out. I love to travel, I live for meeting new people, I would die without my OUTSTANDING friends in my life, and the little cherry on top would be my totally insane family.
Combing all those together, I’ve had some pretty wild times. So, this blog is basically going to be documentation of silliness, friends, tequila, recklessness, trains & planes, most definitely food, loveliness, Panama Hattie’s and The Dunes Crackerhouse.
I wish I began this blog a long time ago, like my mom told to...(surprise! When is Mom ever wrong?) So, as I lie in bed wearing my Florida Gator SNUGGIE, I'll wish you good luck and happy reading! Or, more so, wish me luck? Eh, who knows?
